IS BEC A GOOD FIT FOR YOU?
Requirements and suggestions for new students
Our requirements are pretty simple. You must be an Oregon resident and you must be high school age. It's okay if you've never been in a public school before! If you have been in an accredited high school, the credits that you've earned will transfer in with you.

While BEC is an incredible opportunity, it also comes with increased expectations. College coursework requires a higher level of independence, responsibility, and self-advocacy. Successful students are able to communicate independently, manage their time effectively, and take ownership of their learning. You don’t need prior experience with college classes, many students begin without it, but you do need to be ready for the academic rigor and maturity that college-level work requires. Our team will help determine appropriate course placement so that your classes challenge you without becoming overwhelming. If a full-time college schedule isn’t the right fit yet, that’s completely okay. We can create a hybrid pathway that blends college courses with high school classes to support your growth and readiness.

Students who are under 16 may not take classes at LBCC, RCC, or UCC, but may take classes from another one of our college partners.
